Peace and love to you all.
There is little for us to report in terms of changes from this morning. They are still trying to regulate his temperature while also bringing him back down from sedation, so another drug has been introduced to hopefully rectify that. At this point, concerns about his kidneys, heart, or chest are basically gone, which is good! The most pressing concern now, though, is about his brain. How much has been affected, what areas have been affected, and being able to maintain the temperature effectively are all of importance. So, in lieu of a story this time, I'd simply ask for a targeted prayer. Heal my father's brain, calm our worries, and bring him back to us. Thank you as always for your kind words, your thoughts, and your prayers. We feel your arms around us even from miles away. I'll leave you with a longer prayer this time. Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort, You are the one I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with Randy in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to Randy. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body. Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, this suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May we trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let us be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch. Please restore Randy to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from our hearts by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life and through ours. As you heal and renew Randy, Lord, may we bless and praise you. All of this, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We remembered and prayed for Randy this morning at Faith United Methodist Church. Aaron, you have your dad's gift for writing. Thank You so much for keeping us posted. Your prayer today is beautiful and your words are perfect. I will pray it today several times. Hugs to you, your Mom and your brother. You are also in my prayers. I am praying for Randy's health to be restored.

I remember your parents from Flame of Faith United Methodist Church in West Fargo. We met at Eastwood Elementary School as we did not have a church building. Ironically enough one of his first sermons was about their cat. His parents were gone for a couple days and he was alone with their cat (that apparently did not like your dad) and the cat would not leave him alone.
